After 25 years working for large insurance carriers, fine tuning claims operations through quality assurance, process improvement and training ; it is time to share this knowledge with small to medium sized claims operations. Todd Breton has received acolytes from peers on his industry knowledge and ability to build relationships. These skills bring results!

During process improvement or quality assurance audits, typically staff resists change or feels judged. However, these are opportunities for staff development are not ‘gotcha moments’, instead  action plans along with praise on strengths are discussed  when the results are presented.   • Todd Breton

    Todd has 30+ years in the insurance claims industry. Mr. Breton’s experience includes management, claims, and field work. His relationship building skills were utilized when he worked with nationally recognized mediation attorney, Ken Finberg, which resulted in numerous Katrina cases, settled saving thousands of dollars. Most recently, Mr. Breton’s knowledge of the claims handling processes resulted in fine-tuning operations through Quality Assurance Audits and Process Improvement mapping, improved customer satisfaction, efficiency in operations and reduction of expenses. Todd Breton was recognized as Presenter of the Year for PLRB in 2012 and earned his Six Sigma Black Belt certification. He continues to be involved in the insurance industry with PLRB and Houston Claims Association.

Todd Breton led an effort at Star of Hope Mission to streamline the way we process donor gifts received in the lockbox. This process involved understanding the third party service provider's procedures, gift processing in our development department, and the ultimate accounting for the gift in our financial software. Todd led our team to focus its efforts on the subset of the overall process where we were consuming too much time. This involved detailed time studies, present state / future state process maps, and then verifying the future state was actually saving time. Todd's leadership enabled our team to shave several minutes off of a weekly process, and these efforts are transferrable to other gift accounting processes within Star of Hope. The ultimate result will be quicker month end closings, which will put financial results into the hands of senior management on a more timely basis.
